The grand opening of the fountain was held Saturday, September 5, 2009. Across Broad Street from the fountain, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. visitors can tour the Silver Beach Shadowland Convention Center, Curious Kids' Museum Discovery Zone and the Silver Beach Carousel house to see the progress on the Silver Beach project. The St. Joseph Municipal Band will perform in the John E. N. Howard Band Shell at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. (St. Joseph Herald-Pallidium, MI)

Venetian Festival announces concert lineup (1776) Apr 3, 2009
The Shadowland Pavilion main stage concert series will kick off Friday, July 17, with "Buffet at the Beach," featuring 14 regional artists coming together as The Last Mangos to recreate the look, feel and staging of a Jimmy Buffet event. The high-energy, three-hour concert will encourage dancing and singing along, the festival organizers said in a press release Tuesday. (The Herald-Palladium)
