The melancholy Run Away by Sam Taylor ("too many cars, many bars and broken hearts/riding a bus that takes them nowhere") plays to the backdrop of grey, rain-soaked streets in two scenes that bookend the series, appearing in the first and last episodes. In another, the musical numbers Tomorrow (from Annie), Take That Look Off Your Face (Tell Me On A Sunday) and Don't Rain On My Parade (Funny Girl) are performed simultaneously before transforming into Ease On Down The Road (The Wiz).
