The former front man for Country band Lonestar made a stop in Exeter on Tuesday, June 16 as part of the KJUG free Summer Concert Series at City Park, McDonald unveiled the songwriting inspirations behind his biggest hits and his favorite works ... McDonald closed the show with Lonestar's breakout hit Amazed ... Richie McDonald is a singer/songwriter who debuted on the country scene with his four-man Texas band Lonestar in 1995. Strait, Travis Nominated For Dove Awards Feb 25, 2009
Strait's "I Saw God Today and the Oak Ridge Boys' "Did I Make a Difference" are up for top country recorded song. Travis' "Around the Bend" and a song from former Lonestar frontman Richie McDonald, called "I Turn to You" are nominated in the top country album category.
