Eddie Bo, 79; blues pianist captured spirit of New Orleans Mar 27, 2009 In the early 1950s, Mr. Bo toured with the singers Joe Turner, Lloyd Price, Ruth Brown, and Earl King before establishing a career as a songwriter and performer, recording for independent labels like Apollo, Ric, and Rip.
