    The murder victim was Patrick Flaherty, the patriarch of the Flaherty family of Blarney, Ireland, whose body was found earlier that morning on the grounds of his nursery, where 13 other guests and I gathered for what we thought would be a celebration of its 100th anniversary. Of course, where we actually gathered was the quaint dining room of Hanford's Irwin Street Inn and Restaurant for a murder mystery dinner that proved to be more puzzling than any of us had anticipated.
