Luckily Jerry Cantrell could sing as well as play post-metal guitar, so he could bolster and strengthen Layne Staley's often drug damaged vocal presence and give Alice In Chains chart topping albums. In 60s Australia the double lead singer line-up meant that could replicate The Beatles' sound live and add extra texture to their pop hits, while Bon Scott and Vince Lovegrove in satin costumes and with unison choreography, hand clapping and vocals gave the bubblegum extra pop personality.
