In early 1969, a copy of the album wound up in the hands of Abe "Voco" Kesh at KSAN-FM. He began playing "Oh Happy Day," featuring the throaty contralto leads of Dorothy Morrison, on his popular graveyard-shift program, alongside tracks by such hippie-era favorites as Blue Cheer, Cream, the Grateful Dead and Albert King.
